Location: Toronto, ON

Overview: A well-established organization in the distribution industry is seeking a diligent and organized Bookkeeper to join its accounting team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring smooth financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and has strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and ensure accuracy across all financial accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, general ledger postings, and month‑end reports.
  • Assist in payroll preparation and submission.
  • Support financial audits and provide documentation as needed.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to improve processes and ensure compliance with company policies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bookkeeping Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, ideally within a fast‑paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments.
  • Education: Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Extra Consideration will be given to those who have experience with:

Full‑Cycle Bookkeeping, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Invoicing, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
