CHILD AND YOUTH WORKER
Live-in Treatment Program (Contract & Fulltime Positions)
The Child and Youth Worker, reporting to a Program Coordinator and Program Manager, is an integral part of the Therapeutic Live-in Care (TLC) Program, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to maintain a therapeutic environment that addresses the social and emotional needs of latency-aged children. This is a yearly renewable contract, in which the primary focus of this role is to assist children to develop their emotional regulation, self-esteem and social skills, as well as to learn to build meaningful relationships and to modify dysfunctional behaviors. The Child and Youth Worker in the Milieu environment also works directly with families and community partners to ensure consistent communication and treatment planning.
