Principal Business Process Consultant – SmartRecruiters Solution

Overview

The Principal Business Process Consultant is a strategic leader responsible for driving successful delivery, adoption, and value realization for SmartRecruiters projects. This role combines deep expertise in business process consulting, adoption services and project oversight to ensure customers achieve their desired outcomes with SmartRecruiters solutions. The Consultant acts as a trusted advisor, managing risks, and fostering strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams. The role also champions innovation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of best practices across the SmartRecruiters ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee SmartRecruiter implementations, ensuring alignment with customers goals and SAP standards.
  • Manage risks, monitor progress, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on career site projects, web design, brand alignment, and user experience, best practices.
  • Support pre‑sales activities, solution reviews, and feasibility studies.
  • Occasionally take responsibility as a (sub‑)project lead or team lead for service delivery.
  • Translate customer vision into actionable solutions, mapping business processes to solution requirements.
  • Champion and lead disruptive business innovation, providing thought leadership around transformation towards the Intelligent Enterprise.
  • Design and implement industry‑specific business processes, enforcing innovation and service offerings.
  • Define requirements for development or integration needs, and map business processes to enterprise IT architecture.
  • Drive deployment of best practice business processes for specific lines of business.
  • Develop and execute account strategies and consumption plans to drive customer outcomes and renewals.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, supporting value‑based activities and ensuring high satisfaction.
  • Validate and confirm customer business goals, aligning them with SmartRecruiters solutions.
  • Analyze data‑driven business insights and collaboratively work on adoption plans with broader teams.
  • Serve as an evangelist, communicating insights to customer executives and influencing business decisions.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success, Product, Pre‑Sales & Support teams to ensure project success.
  • Mentor and coach partner consultants and business process consultants, driving quality and consistency in delivery.
  • Create and facilitate customer workshops, trainings, and adoption events.
  • Proactively identify, document, and manage risks in projects.
  • Maintain project health records and communicate consistently with stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the customer by collaborating with internal teams to overcome adoption barriers and deprecation challenges.
  • Drive the evolution of the services portfolio, create templates, and optimize business processes.

Key Skills & Qualities

  • Experience: 5+ years in delivering or managing SmartRecruiters solution in customer‑facing roles
  • Project Management: Ability to manage project. PMI/ Six Sigma certification are preferred.
  • Technical Acumen: Quick to grasp technical concepts and apply them in complex environments.
  • Business Process Design: Expertise in mapping, designing, and implementing business processes and IT architecture; Signavio experience is a good to have.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to build and maintain long‑lasting client and partner relationships.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, able to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Mentorship: Experience mentoring and coaching teams in challenging project environments.
  • Customer‑Centricity: Passion for understanding and fulfilling customer needs, driving success and satisfaction.
  • Problem‑Solving: Analytical, creative, and resilient in resolving issues and finding mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Leadership: Inspires and motivates teams, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Change Management: Strong understanding of change management and strategy consulting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Fully understands industry business trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze usage metrics, KPIs, and business insights to drive adoption and value.
  • Web Design & Brand Alignment: Familiarity with career site best practices and brand guidelines.

  • Drive measurable customer outcomes through adoption, and process optimization.
  • Ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery of projects with strong stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Enable Customer Success teams with best‑practice frameworks, training, and tools to scale value delivery.
  • Strengthen strategic customer partnerships, driving renewals, advocacy, and long‑term retention.
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation, and solution adoption.

Compensation

The targeted combined range for this position is 127,800 - 217,300 (CAD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
