For over 100 years the Calgary Stampede has been the heart and soul of our city. It is both where and how we come together to celebrate our unique brand of western hospitality and community spirit. The Stampede is a not-for-profit, volunteer-supported organization with 35 volunteer committees and 3,000 volunteers. Their time, passion, energy and leadership have made the Stampede one of the most respected volunteer organizations in the world. With the contributions of our volunteers, we will deliver exceptional experiences that entertain, educate and engage visitors. Our vision is to create a world-class, year-round gathering place for the community.
The Royalty Committee selects and trains a year-round ambassador to serve as the Stampede Princess who promotes and represents the Stampede’s western heritage and values by attending and participating in events and delivering exceptional western experiences to engage our community in connecting with our brand.
The Calgary Stampede Princess subcommittee is seeking two hands‑on digital content creators to volunteer on the Social Media Subcommittee. This role is ideal for creators who enjoy being on the ground, capturing moments in real time, creating and posting content quickly, and coaching others how to do the same while being brand ambassadors. This volunteer position will work closely with the Stampede Princess throughout the year to coach, support, and create alongside her as she shares her story and represents the Calgary Stampede across social platforms.
