The Opportunity – Innovate and Lead. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping municipal infrastructure that connects communities and drives progress. Based in Thornhill or Ottawa, you’ll lead a talented team of professionals, technicians, and support staff to deliver high-quality municipal road design projects that make a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Your Impact

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team to deliver municipal road projects that enhance mobility and safety for communities.
  • Drive operational excellence by managing financial performance, resource allocation, and project delivery to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Champion client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and fostering long-term partnerships that support business growth.
  • Mentor and develop talent, implementing career development plans and succession strategies to build a resilient, future-ready team.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives, aligning departmental goals with broader business objectives to advance WSP’s vision.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement, embedding best practices and leveraging technology to optimize project outcomes.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • A degree in Civil Engineering and eligibility for a Professional Engineer license in Ontario.
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and project management for municipal road design projects, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and schedules while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Expertise in business development, client engagement, and proposal preparation within an engineering consulting environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to navigate change, motivate teams, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT: $122,900 – $162,800

MB & ON: $112,100 – $154,400

Atlantic Provinces & QC: $111,000 – $147,400
