Process Engineer

Job Summary

We are recruiting for a Direct Hire Process Engineer opportunity with an established automotive and parts manufacturing environment in the L9Y 4V8 area. This role is well suited for an experienced manufacturing engineer who enjoys improving production efficiency, product quality, equipment reliability, and workplace safety.

As a Process Engineer, you will work closely with production, maintenance, quality, health and safety, and engineering teams to evaluate current manufacturing processes, support new model launches, troubleshoot production issues, and implement sustainable improvements. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on manufacturing experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead process improvements that reduce downtime, improve quality, and support long-term operational success.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze manufacturing methods, equipment, material handling, plant layouts, and material flow to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop and implement solutions to technical, production, quality, safety, and equipment-related challenges.
- Specify requirements for new manufacturing equipment and support upgrades to existing equipment and processes.
- Lead projects focused on cost reduction, waste reduction, productivity improvement, quality improvement, and downtime reduction.
- Support new model launches, including review and development of PFMEAs, Control Plans, process documentation, and related technical requirements.
- Train employees on new processes, equipment, and process changes to support successful implementation.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year.
- Direct Hire opportunity.
- Three weeks of vacation annually.
- Scheduled plant shutdown between Christmas and New Year's.
