  • Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations, vendor coordination, and factory acceptance testing
  • Provide engineering support during construction, installation, commissioning, and early plant operations
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational performance

  • Coordinate with process, electrical, controls, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure integrated system design and execution
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) activities and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement related to system reliability, cost reduction, and operational efficiency

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3–4 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles within heavy industrial or operating plant environments (e.g., cement, mining, potash, bulk materials, industrial manufacturing, or construction)
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA

  • Exposure to plant construction, commissioning, and start-up activities considered an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CAD software (Inventor preferred)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and industrial equipment
  • Hands-on, resourceful approach with practical troubleshooting, farming or automotive mechanic experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across disciplines
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and engineering discipline
