We are proud of our work and commitment to create one of the leading workforce, products and services in the Aviation industry.About the Role:Reporting The Engineering - Electrical II reports directly to the Director of Engineering.Core CompetenciesTeam player with excellent interpersonal skillsEffective written and verbal communication in EnglishEffective use of aerospace/ electrical engineering principlesEngineering decision-making and judgmentCritical thinking and risk managementProblem-solving and mathematical reasoningEffective planning and project organizingComputer literacy with Microsoft Office and AutoCADDuties & ResponsibilitiesDesigns alterations to the aircraft avionics/ electrical systems.Develop wiring diagrams to support new and modified avionics/ electrical installations.Prepare, revise, and check design and installation documents.Prepare, revise, and check ground and flight test reports. Prepare, revise, and check system engineering analysis and substantiation reports.Prepare, revise, and check Flight Manual and Maintenance Manual Supplements.Assist with Engineering Conformity Inspections.Ensure all design and administrative paperwork related to project to project work is maintained in accordance with the company DAPM and Engineering Procedures Manual.Support other departments such as MRO, Avionics, Sales, and Customer Support.Assist with the development of work estimates and schedules.Any other duties assigned by the Director of Engineering or Engineering Project Manager.Adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.Maintenance of the necessary knowledge and technical competencies required to carry out assigned tasks.Ability to communicate effectively and constructively with colleagues and customers.Ability to maintain a high level of productivity without sacrificing quality.Ability to demonstrate good judgement and decision-making.Ability to identify, analyze, and solve technical and regulatory problems.Ability to project a professional appearance and demeanor in all interactions and represent the company in a positive light.Ability to manage project tasks in a logical and organized fashion with clear documentation.QualificationsBachelor's degree in aerospace, electrical or avionics engineering (other qualifications such as a technology degree or diploma may be accepted).Advanced job-related degrees are an asset.AP. Eng. or EIT designation from a recognized Canadian engineering association is preferred. Other designations such as ENG L or P. Tech. will be accepted.Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office suite, CAD software (AutoCAD strongly preferred, SolidWorks as asset).Able to travel when necessary.Must be able to effectively communicate in English (both written and verbal).Knowledge on aircraft certification procedures is an asset.Knowledge on aircraft avionics systems is an asset.Familiarity with FAR 23, FAR 25, FAR 27, and FAR 29 aircraft design standards is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 3 years related engineering experience is preferred.Demonstrated capability and competency in the field of engineering.Proficient in engineering software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).Design and analysis experience in aircraft systems preferred.Design experience in aircraft avionics is an asset.Experience in aircraft avionics installations or maintenance is an asset.Our recruitment commitments:We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Depending on qualifications, selected candidates may be offered a role at a more appropriate level.Avmax Group offers a competitive compensation package including an optimal benefits plan and pension plan.Avmax Group Inc. is dedicated to, and prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer.
