About Our Operation

he Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).

Your Next Challenge

Reporting to Manager Network and Telecom Services, you will be part of the IT Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Globally Maintain, Operate and Optimize all WAN links to other site including satellite;
• Optimize and Modify the QoS standards that evolves;
• Design and develop network solutions globally for the company;
• Configure, Operate and Maintain Firewalls (Palo Alto and Fortinet);
• Operate and Manage Cisco equipment (WLC, Switches, Router);
• Manage the routing and load balancing between on a per-site basis;
• Assist in the continuity of projects with other site departments;
• Work independently with little or no supervision;
• Encourage new work habits of the different department adapted to the satellite reality and provide best practices guidelines;
• Ensure Cybersecurity standards are applied to your practice;
• Ability to follow Information Technology General Controls and Best Practices;
• Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, community and environmental protection and take action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviors do not occur;
• Configure, Operate and Maintain WAN Edge (Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN)
• Configure, operate and Maintain NAC solution (Aruba Clearpass)
• Ability to understand telecoms and troubleshoot traffic flows.
• Excellent knowledge of datacenter operations, hardware installation and cabling
• Advanced knowledge of dynamic routing protocols. (OSPF, BGP)
• Advanced knowledge of VPN concepts, configuration, and troubleshooting.

What You Need To Succeed

• College degree in computer studies or other relevant training;
• Ten (10) years of relevant experience;
• Excellent knowledge of WAN optimization (SD-WAN);
• Mastering of Network architectures, design and operation;
• Excellent knowledge of firewall concept, rules and operations (Palo Alto and Fortinet);
• Mastering of QoS concept (DSCP, tagging, policing, shaping);
• Good knowledge of RF parameter for Satellite links (SNR, Eb / N0, RSSI, etc.);
• Experienced with Office 365 Management, Microsoft Office and Active Directory;
• Eagerness to learn and troubleshoot new technologies with proven problem solving and analytical skills;
• Working knowledge of Network access solutions and 802.1x authentication (Clearpass);
• Intermediate understanding of certificates and PKI infrastructure;
• Ability to travel to and from datacenters with critical hardware;
• Excellent troubleshooting skills including the ability to work with vendors, technical staff and non-technical staff;
• Excellent leadership and self-government;
• Excellent planning and self-organization;
• Being able to work under high pressure in a time sensitive operations environment and stay focused in emergency situations;
• Proficiency in the use of the French language;
• Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language.

Your Work Schedule

• Schedule : 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday.
• Workplace : Possibility to work in one of AEM's offices closer to your residence, and some days from home. Travels to the different sites are expected.
