About the role

As a robotics technician, you will have a very hands-on position where you'll be responsible for our robotic and automation areas.

This includes :  Operating and Training : You'll operate our robotic systems and automation equipment, and provide training to team members on their use. Maintenance and Cleaning : Regular maintenance and cleaning of the equipment will be crucial to ensure smooth operations. Programming : When necessary, you will also be involved in programming tasks to optimize the performance of our systems.

In this role, you will manage two full production lines, which include five robots and various automated components such as robotics flow wrappers and packing lines. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement in a dynamic environment.

responsibilities include

  • Report any equipment deficiencies immediately to Maintenance Technician
  • Ensure the safe and reliable operation of all packaging machinery
  • Involvement in the company Continuous Improvement program
  • Work in accordance to the Treasure Mills Health and Safety program
  • Contribute to a positive workplace environment
  • Work closely with Production Supervisor to prioritize jobs and minimize production downtime
  • Consider the long-term sustainability of all activities and endeavour to reduce, reuse and recycle resources in line with QC policy.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of workplace health and safety matters relevant to your work.
  • Exhibit positive collegial behaviours
  • Maintain packaging area upkeep and cleanliness to the highest industry standard
  • Perform packaging machine changeovers when required
  • Able to troubleshoot in a fast pace environment
  • Mechanical and some electrical experience
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize according to business needs
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal, complete shift reports with accurate information

Requirements

  • 2 years of industrial food equipment experience is required (e.g. flow wrappers, or relevant experience in a repetitive / fast-paced environment)
  • Knowledge of robots, conveyors, high speed packaging equipment, and electrical / electronic controls
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a food manufacturing facility
  • Knowledge of SAP would be an asset
  • Knowledge of SQR would be an asset
  • Knowledge of HACCP preferred
  • Must be flexible with shift time, weekend work is required.

    Shifts are four-five days per week, 8-10-12 hours in length.
