Job Description

Our large-scale public sector client is looking for an Operational Analyst for the Data Governance Team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in data governance, change management and communications, with a strong ability to engage stakeholders and support organizational transformation.

This individual will support the Data Governance team in implementing change management and communication strategies as part of the Enterprise Data Strategy.

The Operational Analyst will play an integral role in the adoption of data governance practices across the organization by managing change processes and developing effective communication plans.

Key Details

  • Duration : 12-months
  • Hours : 37 hours per week
  • Rate Range : $60.00 to $80.00 per hour
  • Environment : Remote, only open to candidates in BC

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing change management plans to facilitate the adoption of data governance practices.
  • Identify potential resistance to change and develop strategies to address it, ensuring smooth transitions in data governance processes.
  • Collaborate with the Data Governance team to create and implement communication plans that promote understanding and engagement with the Enterprise Data Strategy.
  • Develop content for internal communications, including emails, newsletters, presentations, and reports.
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for data governance initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions to communicate changes and gather feedback.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to educate employees on data governance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing support to ensure stakeholders understand and adhere to new data governance processes.
  • Support the operational execution of data governance activities, including policy enforcement and data quality management.
  • Maintain and update data governance documentation, ensuring it reflects current practices and changes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-4 years of experience in data governance, change management, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing change management and communication strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and engaging content.
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficient in data governance practices, including data quality management and policy implementation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications in Change Management (e.g., ADKAR, ACMP) or similar are advantageous.
  • Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica) is preferred.
  • Proficiency in communication tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite).

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
