Salary : $24.70 per hour.

SHIFT :

8 hours structure- 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm.. Monday- Friday

12 hours : 7am to 7pm- Monday- Wednesday or Thursday-Saturday.

ROLE SUMMARY : There is an opening for a Shuttle Truck Driver position. Individuals will need to* *and also need to be self-starters needing minimal direction and able to prioritize work activities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Keg deliveries- managing truck yards, managing trailers in 3 yards.

  • Daily circle check on vehicles.
  • Report defect to Manager.
  • Add vehicles fluids when required.
  • Knowledge of applicable weight regulations.
  • Do makeup orders or other assigned duties
  • Movement of kegs (160 lbs.)
  • Adherence to plant health and safety and environmental regulations required.
  • Adherence to national Safety Code and all transport regulations imposed on large vehicles
  • Assume responsibilities and follow any / all Standard Operating Procedures in area of responsibility.
  • Actively implement VPO processes and use VPO tools to drive improvement in business

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must have a valid Class 1 Drivers License with an air brake endorsement.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record which includes
  • 5 Years safe driving record (Provide a Nova Scotia Drivers Abstract) in operation of a tractor-trailer. This includes, but is not limited to, 5 years accident free driving record, 5 years free of convictions for moving traffic violations, 5 years free of convictions for alcohol or drug offences
  • Must be capable of driving all vehicles in the Company Fleet including straight trucks or tandems, tractor trailers
  • Must successfully complete a medical examination
  • Must be physically capable and able to satisfactorily perform all regular duties of the position including : .
  • Must follow safe work practices including wearing proper PPE.
  • Must be willing to work in all areas of the operation
  • Must be willing to work shifts unsupervised as required and other duties as assigned by the Manager.
