Elder Care Provider Wanted - Experienced Elder Care Provider Needed In Saint John (West), New Brunswick $20 Hourly

Are you a compassionate and reliable care provider in Saint John, New Brunswick? Our family is seeking a part-time care worker / companion to provide home care for our beloved Mom (her name is Sandra; Alexandra, the name on the post, is me - her daughter posting the ad). Sadly, she has aggressive early-onset dementia and now is requiring more care, outside of our abilities alone and we would like to do our best to keep her at home. This position involves providing personal care, administering medication, assisting with bathing, mobilizing, and providing companionship. The ideal candidate should have experience in elder care / care of those with physical and mental limitations and must be attentive, patient, and respectful. They should also be trained in use of a Hoyer lift and bed-to-chair transfers. All equipment will be rented and provided.

• Currently she is admitted at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a hip fracture. Nursing staff help with much of the mobilizing and will assist with personal care - so companionship is the main role while she is in hospital*

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00, and we are looking for a few people to help fill care gaps.

Coverage times :

• Weekdays from 9 : 00am-8 : 00pm (COVERED)
• Weekends (still seeking coverage)
• Night 8 : 00pm - 8 : 00am (open)
