Growth
The Critical Care Unit at Oak Valley Health is an exciting area to work in, having recently launched the CCRT (Critical Care Response Team). The unit includes acute medical / surgical critical care and stepdown beds. It is open to Critical and accepts life or limb patients. Over the next year, the department is expected to grow with the launch of dialysis within the unit. Patient care
Be a member / participant in committees, task forces, unit projects, so that you can actively partake in the development and enhancement of your patient care unit. Such activities might include participation in the ongoing development / revision of patient care unit policies and procedures, development of standards of care, patient teaching programs, chairing team meetings, etc. 48_Performance Created with Sketch.
Performance
You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on professional practice and customer satisfaction. Using your clinical expertise, you will, in collaboration with the interprofessional team, be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive care plan for each of your patients in the delivery of individualized patient / family-centred care. Be responsible for identifying and pursuing your own educational needs using the resources available to you.

Qualifications
Completion of the Critical Care Certificate program required. Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.
