Our Energy subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. From small installations to multi‑phase integrated megaprojects, we support upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas activities and energy transition markets at all stages of the project lifecycle, anywhere in the world. We are focused on providing design, engineering and environmental services that contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation, sustain the use and protection of water and marine resources, protect and restore biodiversity, and support our clients as they transition to low‑carbon solutions.

To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our team located in our offices in British Columbia.

What you can expect to do here

• Conduct process simulations using appropriate software to optimize system performance and efficiency.
• Determine appropriate sizes for equipment based on process requirements and prepare detailed data sheets for each piece of equipment.
• Perform calculations to determine optimal sizes for process lines, considering flow rate, pressure drop and temperature.
• Prepare data sheets for instruments, including specifications, operating conditions and maintenance requirements.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) to represent material flow through the process.
• Mark up Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to reflect changes in the process or equipment.
• Conduct studies to understand and improve the process, analyze data, identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to identify and evaluate potential hazards.
• Review vendor drawings to ensure they meet process requirements.
• Take charge of smaller projects or support Area Lead on larger projects.

What you’ll bring to WSP

Salary range (British Columbia) : $82,900 – $114,000 (may vary based on experience, qualifications, location and business needs).
