What is the opportunity?
The RBC Dominion Securities London branch is currently seeking an experienced Financial Planner to join a successful team.
This is a relationship management role working directly with a group of high-net-worth clients, providing exceptional service, advice and comprehensive investment management and wealth management services.
Identifying and assisting in the growth of new business opportunities is recommended, but not necessarily the main objective of the role.
You must have a genuine passion for helping people reach their financial goals, and for working as a part of a team.
What will you do?
- Manage and build long-term relationships with affluent and high net worth clients and their families
- Work with an established team of internal experts and external advisors to coordinate / advise on all aspects of a client's wealth management needs (financial planning, investments, banking, insurance, will & estate planning)
- Working within a diligent investment strategy framework, provide investment management services through regular portfolio reviews, and rebalancing, making recommendations and developing client projections to deliver customized client solutions
- Work with an exceptional support team to follow a service plan for proactive and a high level of client service, direct client contact in person, by phone and / or video.
- Identify opportunities for asset consolidation and referrals
- Build strong relationships within the community, local partners, and centers of influence
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
- 5 years+ of professional experience within the investment industry in a client facing role (other relevant experience may be considered)
- Certified Financial Planner or Personal Financial Planner designation
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire date)
- Post-secondary degree
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Passion for building client relationships and providing high level advice and service
- Attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills
Nice to Have
- Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation
- Other designations (accounting, Chartered Financial Analyst)
