What You’ll Be Doing

As Director of Software Engineering, you will play a key role in influencing and building the future of our platform. We’re looking for a hands‑on engineering leader who wants to play a critical role in architecting, building and scaling the product by ensuring that engineering efforts are strategic and aligned with the company's goals.

You’ll work in close collaboration with our COO / CTO and CEO, building scalable systems and features that improve healthcare delivery across Canada. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of thousands of healthcare professionals and patients.

This is a growth role with the opportunity to build a team and ascend within the organization.

Keys to Success

• Build to Scale : Refine our playbook for high‑velocity development. You’ll evolve our engineering practices to eliminate friction, raise the quality bar and enable consistent, fast and reliable delivery as we scale.
• Develop and Innovate : Develop, and maintain mission‑critical features that span both the back‑end and front‑end of our platform.
• Create and Collaborate : Build reusable components and scalable architectures for our microservices cloud platform.
• Problem‑Solve Together : Join a team that thrives on tackling challenges collaboratively, ensuring robust and elegant solutions.
• Shape the Future : Influence design decisions, improve system performance, and contribute to Cherry Health’s overall technical strategy, especially in regards to AI and machine learning.
