Ovintiv’sChief Digital Office (CDO) offers a solid foundation of knowledge and experiential training while giving university students the opportunity to apply what they are learning in school in a real-world setting. As an intern, you will spend the term working closely with an experienced mentor(s) and be assigned work responsibilities intended to provide you with learning opportunities while delivering meaningful contributions to Ovintiv.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are currently seekingastudenttowork in our Calgary office, with the opportunity to work up to an8-12-month term.Work assignments and projects may include and be related to :

Custom Application Development : Support thedevelopmentandmaintenanceof custom-built digital tools.

Technology Innovation : Exploreandleverageemergingautomation and AItechnologies to improve business decision-making.

Process Improvement : Analyze business processes toidentifyinefficiencies and proposedigital solutions to streamline workflows.

AI and Automation Projects : Participatein initiatives involvingMS tools such asM365 Copilot, Power Platform(Power BI / Power Apps / Power Automate / Power Pages), and other AI-driven toolssuch as Copilot Studio, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot.

Assess and resolvead hoc userissuesthrough Office Hours related to the M365related tools (e.g.SharePoint / SharePoint Knowledge Agent, M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Power Platform).

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

Currentlyenrolled ina bachelor’s degreeprograminsoftwareengineering, mathematics, computerscience,computerinformationsystems,orotherrelated technology programs.

Demonstrated solid academic results in your core courses, balanced with other work,volunteeror extracurricular experiences

Mustbe enrolled as a student throughApril 2027.

Must be available May 4 - August 21,2026,for a summer arrangement, with theoptionto extend to an8–12-monthco-opterm.

Must Haves : Technical Skills :

Knowledge of requirements gathering and design thinking for custom development.

Knowledge of at least one key analytics tool (Power BI, SQL, etc.).

Experience with MS Office and Git / GitHub tools.

Experienceprogramming (ideally Python or JavaScript).

SoftSkills :

Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Solid interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Positive attitude andeagerto streamline and improve process and workflows.

Analytical skills for problem determination and resolution.

Positive attitude, self-motivated, and strong attention to detail.

Creative, curious, and innovative mindset with a passion to learn and master modern technology.

In accordance with applicable law, the following representsOvintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.

Hiring Hourly Range : $23.75 - $38.94 CAD

Compensation may vary and will bedeterminedby year in school.
