Description

Our government client is seeking a strong policy resource for policy development.

Duties

• Contributing to the development and writing of program proposals and moving them through the assessment and approval process;
• Designing and creating the required suite of procedures, tools, and documentation for the Division.
• Completing program manuals for the Slaughter Waste Improvement Program and the Agri Processing Innitiative, drawing on existing documents, incorporating those created by other BOD staff, and developing program procedures where required.
• Managing staff and providing advice to senior management on issues related to the delivery of commercialisation programming.

• Strong analytical thinking;
• Strong technical writing skills;
• Strong ability to work in teams;
• Strong knowledge of the agri-food sector and agriculture, and its policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of accountabilities in the federal government.
• Knowledge of the federal budgeting and other federal financial processes.

Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of all aspects of agricultural sector program development, program design, program delivery.

Experience

• Significant experience to lead all aspects of agricultural sector
• program development, program design, and program delivery;
• Significant experience providing advice and support to senior management on program design, approval and delivery;
• Significant experience working with third party program partners;
• Significant experience establishing policies and procedures for new programs on HR, training,
• Significant experience establishing and utilizing public and private partner networks in the agricultural and agri-based supply chain;
• Significant experience writing government program procedures, tools, and manuals.
• Experience delivering repayable contribution programming to for-profit organisations in the agriculture sector.
• Experience managing human and financial resources in the federal government.
