Job Title : Industrial Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will work on equipment such as cranes, conveyors, ovens, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Your main responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, repairs, and select projects managed through our CMMS system.
You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and industrial equipment, as well as associated electrical and electronic controls.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and select projects as assigned through the CMMS system.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility and industrial equipment, and associated electrical and electronic controls.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for serviceability.
- Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices, including SSRs, SCRs, and VFDs.
- Utilize a mechanical aptitude to assist with various maintenance tasks.
- Complete work orders generated daily by the plant, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
- Use SLACK to communicate and track job progress after tasks are completed.
Essential Skills
- Red Seal Industrial Electrician Certification
- Minimum of 1 year troubleshooting experience
- 4 years experience with Canadian Electrical Code
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with troubleshooting in any type of manufacturing equipment
- 2-3 years manufacturing electrical experience
- Strong English skills, both written and verbal
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PLC experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with boom lift and scissor lift
- Ability to document and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
