Position Overview

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba, delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralised administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organisations.

Main Function

To provide a safe environment for all patients and staff through the application of approved engineering concepts and repair methods relative to systems used in patient care areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily technical support activities related to equipment and devices used within the clinical, allied health, and / or support service departments.
• Ensure that all complex medical devices used are maintained at a high degree of efficiency to ensure effective, safe care of the patient and safe use for the operator.

Experience

Prior experience directly related to Clinical or Biomedical Engineering preferred.

Education

Graduation from an Electronics Technology or specific Biomedical Engineering Technology program from an accredited education institution required.
