Position Overview :

As an Electrical Engineer P.Eng / Designer , you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems within custom HVAC products. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you'll apply your technical expertise to bring complex systems from concept to reality, ensuring compliance with standards and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and optimize electrical systems, instruments, and controls for HVAC units.

Collaborate with clients, engineers, and production teams on system design and performance requirements.

Create technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications using AutoCAD.

Conduct power system studies, field surveys, and engineering analysis.

Perform detailed calculations and prepare documentation for construction and manufacturing standards.

Oversee installation and testing of electrical components to ensure conformance with specifications and safety standards.

Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for operational or client-reported issues.

Support the development of project budgets, schedules, and procurement specifications.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering team members.

Maintain a strong understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing.

Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or HVAC industries.

Minimum 3 years of experience specifically related to HVAC unit design .

Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical drafting standards.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask under tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Familiarity with CSA, NEC, and other applicable standards.

Experience with sheet metal fabrication or custom manufacturing is an asset.

Work Environment :

Based onsite in a clean and safety-driven manufacturing office.

Regular interaction with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, and quality.

Non-remote role with potential for occasional site visits.
