Santa Rosa Junior College invites applications for a part‑time, hourly associate faculty position focused on health care ancillaries, specifically the community health worker role. Assignments may be temporary, on‑call, and may involve online instruction.
Compensation & Benefits
- Part‑time, hourly pay. Assignment may not exceed 67% of a full‑time schedule.
- Starting hourly rate determined by salary schedules or Human Resources.
- Salary placement based on academic background, vocational experience, and teaching experience. Initial placement at Step 1 pending evaluation.
- Compensation for assigned classes paid over the duration of each assignment.

- Sick leave accrued on a pro‑rated basis (see Article 18 of the AFA Contract).
- Retirement : CalSTRS Defined Benefit, CalSTRS Cash Balance, and Social Security options; eligibility depends on prior CalSTRS membership status.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Provide excellent instruction and faculty support to students, including evening, weekend, online, or hybrid assignments.Provide academic assistance and related services during scheduled office hours.Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds.Maintain currency in field(s) of expertise.Focus primarily on instruction and student services.May be asked to participate in district or department service (committee work, evaluations, student learning outcomes assessment, hiring committees) for additional compensation.See the All Faculty Association Contract for detailed information.Selection Process
