Our client is seeking a Payroll Manager for a permanent opportunity in their Central Truro, Nova Scotia location. As the Payroll Manager, you will directly work with the Director of Financial Services and oversee the operations and activities of the organization’s Payroll Division.

If you are knowledgeable of government legislation and have experience using complex human resource and payroll management information systems from a managerial lens, this role may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities for the Job :

Overseeing payroll processes Leading payroll department Ensuring full compliance with legislation Preparing various reports as needed Other payroll duties as required

Skills & Attributes for Success :

Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing staff in a similar payroll or accounting role National Payroll Institution designation (CPM), Professional accounting designation (CPA) required Experience working with Canada Revenue Agency, Workers Compensation, Employment Standards Well-developed decision-making and creative problem solving abilities Excellent organizational and time-management skills Excellent written / oral communication and interpersonal skills Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
