Program Coordinator – People with Disabilities
Prospect Human Services Society is looking for a Program Coordinator to support our people with disabilities. In this role, you will prepare clients for employment opportunities, increase their independence, and promote greater social integration.

Type : Full‑Time
Salary : $52,000 – $56,000 per year

What will you do?
- Prepare for and facilitate a full range of programming with and for clients, ranging from more independent programs to more structured programming
- Provide on‑site coaching to clients while in programming and / or during volunteer or employment placements as required
- Participate in program planning, service design, development, and delivery in accordance with client goals, Prospect policies and procedures, FOIP, and the client handbook
- Work directly with Prospect clients, and support other Prospect direct service positions in working directly with Prospect clients, to provide behavioural and programming support to teach and expand employability skills
- Support the creation, progression, and completion of goals for clients
- Actively seek out new partners in the community for the purposes of developing new programs / activities and opportunities, as well as supporting, fostering and maintaining existing relationships
- Educate and promote the role of Prospect to community partners and the benefits of including persons with disabilities in their teams or services / organizations
- Maintain strong working knowledge of accreditation standards, including ensuring all CET standards are maintained and reflected in programming and program plans
- Work with the Program Manager, Team Leads, and Service Coordinators to maintain PDD PERCI Database information, including client goal progress and attainment
- Champion Prospect’s goals, vision, mission and brand pillars
What does it take to do this job?
Degree or certificate in a related field from a recognized post‑secondary institution, such as Art and / or Fine Arts, Outdoor Leadership / Education, Eco‑tourism, Sport & Recreation Management, Social and / or Human Services1+ years’ experience in a similar role, with demonstrated reliability shown in past positions / educationSome post‑secondary education and / or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience will be consideredBasic skill level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)Strong oral communication skills to relay instructionsWillingness to provide assistance and support to team members, including covering for other programs and roles when requiredPrevious experience with behaviour guidance is an assetWilderness First Aid is considered an assetFurther Notes
