A growing and well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Winnipeg team. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to step into a leadership-focused role while remaining actively involved in technical design and project execution.

This role offers a balance of leadership, client interaction, and hands-on technical involvement. The successful candidate will oversee projects and mentor junior staff while continuing to contribute directly to structural design, coordination, and technical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and project delivery for a variety of building projects including commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use developments
- Oversee projects from conceptual design through construction administration and project close-out
- Maintain and build strong client relationships through regular communication and project involvement
- Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers/designers within the structural team
- Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architectural, mechanical, electrical, and contractor groups
- Participate in site reviews, construction meetings, and field coordination as required
- Provide technical guidance and contribute to overall project planning, scheduling, and quality control
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- P.Eng designation or eligibility within Manitoba
- 8+ years of experience within consulting engineering/building design
- Strong experience with steel, concrete, wood, and foundation design for buildings projects
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or similar
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor team members effectively
