Your future starts now at Empower Simcoe!We are presently accepting resumes for a number of Permanent Part-Time Support Worker I and II to work in our group homes in Orillia. These positions will be assigned to our day line working up to 63 hours biweekly, primarily between the hours of 8am-8pmCompensation Package:Additional hours may be available with a minimum rate of pay of $25.55/hour.11 paid Statutory Holidays.Confidential Employee Assistance program for you and for your immediate family.Following the successful completion of probation:Employer paid health and life insurance; employee/employer paid dental. Employer paid sick and personal leave time.Vacation hours.Participation in RRSP with employer match up to 4%Minimum Qualifications:Developmental Service Worker diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Nursing, Psychology, Personal Support Worker, etc.) as determined by the employer is required.Candidates who have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people.When submitting your resume and cover letter, please also upload a copy of your diplomas / degrees. In your resume, please ensure that you specify the length of your programs.Ability to work weekends and holidays.Ability to attend team meetings and training as required during daytime hours.A valid class "G" driver's license and own reliable transportation is an asset.Role/Duties:Our Direct Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities may include providing support during overnight shifts, personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances.
