Code Wizards are one of the world leaders in Game Tech, specialising in Backend and Multiplayer Infrastructure within the games industry.
We work on everything from small mobile indie titles to AAA console/PC games.
Currently looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to add more firepower to our Vancouver presence.
As a Game Operations engineer, you are the backbone of multiplayer games. You use your wealth of games industry knowledge and your technical DevOps skills to help keep games online and running, whatever challenges are thrown at you. You form a core part of our global operations team, and you work closely with game studios to help them with the challenges of global infrastructure. One day you might be working with a customer planning and advising best practices for their upcoming game launch and the next day you might be writing terraform to implement and scale a new game infrastructure. You use your skills to help educate others in the team and act as an escalation point for head-scratching problems. Incidents are no problem for you, and you are happy to pick up and run with an outage, working with internal teams and the customer to keep game infrastructure online.
