Class 1 Truck Driver: Flat Deck

Position Summary

We are looking for a talented dedicated Class 1 Truckdrivers with exceptional customer service to join our fleet.

• Schedule: Monday to Saturday
• Start Time: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Delivering materials locally and short haul highway
• Flatdeck experience would be preferred (operating a tandem axle straight truck curtain side with moffet)

What you will do

• Willing to drive anywhere within Calgary and Surrounding Areas
• Conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
• Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
• Coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
• Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

What You’ll Bring

• Valid Class 1 License is required
• Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events)
• Minimum 1 year of highway experience required
• Experience with Straight Truck/ Curtain Side required
• Must have Moffett experience
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable with smartphone technology
• Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors
• Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
• Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada
