We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, enhancing, and troubleshooting native Android applications within an Agile and collaborative environment. You will implement complex features, work closely with cross-functional teams, and help deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

The Role: Android Developer

Responsibilities:

  • Construct, enhance, and troubleshoot native Android apps.
  • Implement complex new features and functionalities.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and business partners to create effective, functional solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies to ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables.
  • Support multiple Android SDK versions, device resolutions, and hardware configurations.
  • Ensure optimal mobile performance, security, and latency.
  • Use performance analysis tools to monitor and improve app performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience developing large-scale Android applications.
  • Proficient in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Coroutines.
  • Strong experience with MVVM architecture and Android Architecture Components.
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple Android SDK versions, device types, and screen resolutions.
  • Solid Object-Oriented Design and development skills.
  • Experience with asynchronous programming and concurrency patterns.
  • Proven track record of high productivity in app development, architecture, and debugging.
  • Experience with enterprise-level branching/merging workflows, preferably with Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of mobile performance, security best practices, and associated analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with modern development practices and emerging trends in mobile tech, security, and wireless networks.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Room, Dagger 2, and other libraries within our tech stack is a huge plus.
  • Experience with unit testing and UI testing methodologies.
