SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

-completes electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs under the supervision of a Maintenance Mechanic, or the Maintenance Manager.

Equipment: (Jomar, Husky, Nissei, Beckum) and plastics/packaging background and injection, extrusion and blow molding

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

-requisitions machine parts and equipment through the Maintenance Manager.

-completes and files all assigned maintenance work orders through the Maintenance Manager.

-reports machine deficiencies, oil leaks, irregularities and unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Manager.

-reports low parts inventory levels and numbers to the Maintenance Manager.

AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable):

EDUCATION:

Required: Successful completion of a recognized course in one of the following areas; mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or equivalent competency demonstrated by successful employment history.

Preferred: College diploma

EXPERIENCE:

Required: A minimum of 5 years related work experience in Canada

Preferred: Plastics experience

SKILLS:

Required:

ISO 9001 Introduction

GMP/GDP

1 week training to be completed in-house.

Safety Training

Ability to communicate and work well within the Maintenance Team
