Lead Applications Engineer
We are looking for a Lead Applications Engineer to join our team in Edmonton!
You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and engineering support in the selection, sizing, configuration and application of control valves and related process control equipment.
The application engineer evaluates process data, performs valve sizing and material selection, prepares technical proposals, and supports both internal and external stakeholders throughout the quotation, order, and post-order stages. Collaborating with manufacturing quality assurance, and project management teams is essential to ensure the successful execution of engineered solutions.

Salary range : $93,000 - $135, 000 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge
Analyze process conditions, P&IDs and client specifications to select and size control valves, actuators, and positioners.
Assist in developing detailed technical quotations, datasheets, and supporting documentation.
Liaise with customers, distributors and sales teams to clarify technical requirements and recommend suitable valve solutions.
Provide technical support for trouble shooting, retrofits, and aftermarket service with the engineering department.
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives related to valve selection tools, engineering procedures, and documentation standards.
Provides representatives and distributors with training in selection, sizing, configuration and application of control valves and related process control equipment.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Process Engineering.
7+ years of experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, control theory, and valve technologies (globe, rotary, severe service).
Proficiency in sizing and selection software.
Familiarity with international standards and industry codes
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
