Markham, ON
$30/hour
Day shift - 8:30am to 4:30 pm
Are you a fast and accurate invoicing professional who thrives in a high-volume service environment? We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a growing and fast-paced team within the fire protection and service industry.
The ideal candidate will come from industries such as fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or other service-based environments, with a strong understanding of the urgency, accuracy, and attention to detail required to manage high-volume invoicing efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Prepare and process a high volume of invoices in QuickBooks with speed and accuracy
• Extract and interpret information from handwritten work orders
• Separate labor/services from parts to create detailed invoices
• Manage accounts receivable transactions and customer accounts
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Follow up on overdue payments via phone and email
• Assist with month-end reporting and account reconciliations
• Support bookkeeping and accounting administration as needed
What We’re Looking For:
• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Receivable and invoicing experience
• Previous experience within a service-based company such as:
*Fire Protection
*HVAC
*Plumbing
*Electrical
*Mechanical Services
• Strong high-volume invoicing experience is required
• Ability to work from handwritten work orders with excellent attention to detail
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent data entry speed and accuracy
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
