We are looking for a Program Supervisor to oversee our Community Support Program in Edmonton, Alberta, to mentor Community Support Workers (CSWs) in delivering person-centred, strengths-based support. In this hands-on leadership role you will work directly with adults with developmental disabilities, complex mental health needs, addictions, and diverse behavioural profiles. By fostering a sense of belonging in both home and community settings, you will support individuals to live with dignity, independence, and purpose.
Leading by example, you will actively support individuals, build trusting relationships, and set a gold standard of high quality care for your CSWs. Your mentorship will empower team members to promote skill development, enhance social / personal growth, and create opportunities for meaningful community involvement. Through individualized coaching and purposeful routines, you and your team will encourage inclusion, support engagement, and help individuals become active members of their communities. Your work is grounded in harm reduction, strengths-based practice, and respect for everyone's unique abilities, communication styles, and goals.

- Day (7 : 30am - 3 : 30pm) 6 days on, 3 days off

Manage and support CSWs to ensure high quality service deliveryCoordinate work allocation and delegate tasks to ensure fluidity of program maintenanceAssign / coordinate referrals to ensure clients are connected with appropriate services, supports, and community resourcesManage team scheduling processes and time-off requestsCollaborate with your Program Manager to identify and address CSW training needsEnsure program operations and team members comply with organizational policies, procedures, values, and best practices for supporting individualsRecommend program developments to your Senior Program Supervisor and Management in addition to participating in program evaluationRun periodic team meetings to support communication, consistency, and collaborationEffectively advocate for individuals receiving servicesRepresent CarePros in the community and when interacting with government agencies, families / caregivers, and funding bodiesBuild and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners, agencies, and organizations to enhance program quality and outcomesEnsure required inspections are completed with follow-up action so your program aheres to standards and proceduresEnsure daily services align with contracts, policies, and legislationWork directly with persons served, their families, and care teamsLiaise with funders and community partners to support service deliveryWork with your Facilities team to ensure program facilities / equipment meet operational requirementsWhat You Bring to The Table
Diploma or Degree in Disability Studies, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Community Rehabilitation, or related field (required)3+ years verifiable experience working with persons with developmental disabilities in home-based or community support settings (required)2+ years of proven supervisory experience in front-line care2+ years of direct experience working with PDD and complex behaviour profilesIn-depth knowledge of harm reduction practice, disability support, CARF ECS, Alberta Council of Disability Services (ACDS) standards, and Community Disability Services (CDS) sector guidelinesHands-on experience supporting individuals with complex needsUnmatched verbal and written communication skillsSuperb technology and documentation skillsCompliance Regulated Requirements
Own a reliable 4-door vehicle to transport the individual(s)Active Alberta Class 5 Driver's LicenseClear Alberta 10-year Driver's Abstract (10 years driving experience not required)Current Standard / Intermediate First Aid with CPR Level C (Canadian Provider in person or blended)$2 Million Alberta Auto Insurance Liability coverageClear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check obtained in last 5 monthsClear Intervention Record Check obtained in last 5 monthsRegulated Physical Requirements
