Key Activities
Reporting to the Producer of Popular Music and Variety, the Show Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting live performances for the Popular Music and Variety Department, by serving as the primary in-person liaison for artists and ensuring smooth onsite logistics. This part-time role requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and involves coordination with artists, producers, technical teams, and venue staff to deliver a seamless experience.
Some tasks include but are not limited to:
•Setting up dressing rooms with hospitality items;
• Providing artist with payment and meals (green room or pick-up, or delivery);
• Collecting guestlist names from artists;
• Ensure timely start and end of performances;
• Work together with the onsite technical team, ushers, and bar staff to ensure everyone is ready for the performance;
• Re-organize the dressing room(s) post-performance;
• Coordinate with the Producer of each show to ensure all the show advance information is finalized;
• Supervise the onsite merchandise seller (when applicable) - coordinate with the artists and NAC seller;
• Occasionally pick-up and drop off artists (airport, hotels, etc.);
• Conduct weekly hospitality shopping bases on producer-provided lists;
Skill Requirements
• Pertinent work experience in project coordination;
• Valid driver’s license is required;
• Experience in event coordination or artist relations preferred;
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure;
• Able and willing to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
• Smart Serve Ontario certificate is an asset;
• Bilingualism in both official languages is required.
