Duties :
Ensuresthe safety and security of patients, residents, visitors and staff through appropriate
checks and inspections of building furniture and equipment within assigned
areas to ensure all areas are hazard free, secure and clean.
Is responsible for security
related tasks such as, locking and unlocking the building, monitoring staff
only areas, assisting with security services during emergencies, and other
security related tasks as assigned.
Ensures that all linen is properly cleaned, and folded and in sufficient
supply to meet the needs of the Organization and clients.
Supports and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of Deep River
and District Health.
Other duties may be assigned and may not be limited to the scope of an
individual department.
Qualifications :
High school Diploma or
equivalent.
Housekeeping
training / certification preferred.
Infection Prevention and
Control training / certification preferred.
Gentle Persuasive Approach
certification preferred.
Related experience in an acute care hospital or Long-Term Care setting
preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal
supervision and co-ordinate tasks and duties with team members.
Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal,
verbal and written communication skills required.
