Role Description
As Intermediate or Senior Transportation Engineer you will be project manager on a variety of challenging projects and provide mentorship to junior and intermediate staff.
Your primary responsibilities will revolve around spearheading transportation projects, overseeing a team of engineers and technicians, and collaborating closely with clients to craft and implement cutting-edge transportation solutions.
Duties :
- Design and oversee highway and civil infrastructure projects, ensuring strict adherence to codes and standards.
- Providing project engineering and technical expertise, modeling, analysis and design services on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Managing of Transportation Engineering projects including financial controls, project management, managing client relationships.
- Participating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering and contract administration.
- Preparation of conceptual, preliminary, and final designs
- Preparing proposals and reports
- Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors.
- Providing senior review and professional authentication of memos, reports, drawings, and other engineering documents.
- Leading and participating in Business Development initiatives.
- Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules, and deliverables to execute high quality projects on time and on budget.
- Working closely with engineers, designers, drafting and support staff.
- Mentoring and coaching of junior engineers, technologists, and designers, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications :
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil engineering, specializing in the design of highways, roads, and related infrastructure.
- Ability to be registered or currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Experience in the design of highways, roads, and other transportation related infrastructure.
- Proven project management and technical skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, NBDTI, NSTIR, and TAC geometric design standards.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
