Role Description
As Intermediate or Senior Transportation Engineer you will be project manager on a variety of challenging projects and provide mentorship to junior and intermediate staff. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around spearheading transportation projects, overseeing a team of engineers and technicians, and collaborating closely with clients to craft and implement cutting-edge transportation solutions.
Duties :
- Design and oversee highway and civil infrastructure projects, ensuring strict adherence to codes and standards.
- Providing project engineering and technical expertise, modeling, analysis and design services on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Managing of Transportation Engineering projects including financial controls, project management, managing client relationships.
- Participating in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, tendering and contract administration.
- Preparation of conceptual, preliminary, and final designs
- Preparing proposals and reports
- Liaising with clients, consultants, regulatory and utility agencies, and contractors.
- Providing senior review and professional authentication of memos, reports, drawings, and other engineering documents.
- Leading and participating in Business Development initiatives.
- Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules, and deliverables to execute high quality projects on time and on budget.
- Working closely with engineers, designers, drafting and support staff.
- Mentoring and coaching of junior engineers, technologists, and designers, fostering their professional development.
Qualifications :
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in civil engineering, specializing in the design of highways, roads, and related infrastructure.Ability to be registered or currently registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.Experience in the design of highways, roads, and other transportation related infrastructure.Proven project management and technical skills.Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, NBDTI, NSTIR, and TAC geometric design standards.Exceptional oral and written communication skills.This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute your expertise to a thriving company with a strong presence across Atlantic Canada and Ontario.
