Location: Dartmouth, NS Job Type: Permanent | Full-TimeAre you passionate about cooking and thrive in the energy of a busy kitchen? Our client, a well-established and highly regarded restaurant in Dartmouth, is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join their hardworking, close-knit team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in preparing high-quality food, and love being part of a collaborative kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare and cook steaks to perfection—rare, medium, or well-done—based on customer preferences
  • Cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in prepping ingredients: chopping, slicing, marinating
  • Keep your station and the kitchen clean, organized, and food-safe
  • Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure dishes are served hot and on time
  • Monitor food inventory and notify management when stock runs low
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues promptly
  • Follow all food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience working as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a high-volume restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of steak preparation, cooking techniques, and proper doneness levels.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering consistently high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
