Storekeeper - Overnights/Weekends: 3-6 Month Contract

Reporting to the store manager, the storekeeper will be responsible for permanent and consumable materials in good condition and ensuring their availability, in accordance with company safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.

Role and General Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the importance of meeting cost, time, and quality requirements by consistently striving to achieve them.
• Receive and inspect all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders; process and distribute documentation with purchase orders.
• Ensure safe keeping both as to quality and quantity of materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure all the materials are stored safely and meet the manufacturer recommendation on storage methods.
• Monitor and pro actively take action in response to site needs / requests for construction materials.
• Answers questions regarding procedures and resolve discrepancies regarding receipts, deliveries, warranties, repairs, and surplus supply.
• Maintaining re-order levels for consumable materials.
• Exercise general control over all activities in Stores.
• Organizing shelves, maintaining the outside area of the stores and yard in a safe clean and tidy condition.
• Make cyclical inventory checks weekly.
• Other duties as required.
• This successful candidate will have to be okay with working overnight and weekend shifts

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Ability to work independently, structure tasks, and stay organized;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills;
• Good knowledge of Office Suite software;
• Proficient in the English language (Written, reading and speaking)

Preferred Skills

• LRT experience preferred but not required
• Experience in Construction materials would be considered an asset.
• Ability to communicate and develop relations
