Job Title : Senior Database Developer
Location : Mississauga - 3 days - Hybrid
Term : Long term contract plus extension
- Hands on data model design in SQL and NO-SQL database, design and code on the store procedure to implement the business knowledge.
- Hands on data quality improvement and communication with global business for supporting.
- Deliver high quality work and consistently meets requirements and standards, plans and prioritizes work well to meet deadlines.
- Involving into or do system / component design & implementation with counterparty in New York, London, and other locations.
- Communicate with global dev counterparty / teams for the requirements and technical details.
- Takes ownership to resolve difficult issues, even when not clearly within own area of responsibility
Perform day-to-day administration of all DB2, DBA environments for client Online / client including DEV, i2, i3, IST, u2, UAT.
Skills include security, backup / recovery, design / development, capacity & capability planning, conversion of segmented to universal tablespaces, plus performance tuning.
Knowledge & Use of DB2 Tools like : DB2 Interactive (Command Level, DCLGEN, & SPUFI), Omega Mon, plus Utilities like LOAD / UNLOAD, BIND / REBIND / FREE, IMAGE COPY, REORG, RUNSTATS, and CA (Platinum) Tools like EXPLAIN, Mainframe.
Knowledge & Use of IBM MVS Tools like : JCL, TSO, ISPF, FILEAID, XMIT, FTP, NDM, SAR, SDSF, Change Man, Info Man, JobDocs.
Track important batch jobs both for status & performance - Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and On-Demand.
Knowledge & Use of Windows Desktop Client Tools like : IBM DB2 Client, DbArtisan, Windows, MS-Office (Access, Excel, Word, Outlook), ServiceNow.
Work cordially with other areas like Development (PL / I), CICS, DCdba, OPSS, MVS, WebSphere, Fraud, COB, Prod Support, Customer Service, Management,
