Our client, a growing and dynamic organization located in Downtown Vancouver, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, coding, payment processing, and related journal entries, with a focus on freight and inventory-related transactions.
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities.
- Prepare and complete bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and respond to supplier inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with cash flow reporting and short-term cash forecasting activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the Accounts Payable function.
- Support month-end close activities and assist with special projects and ad hoc accounting duties as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience, including bank reconciliations.
- Experience processing Accounts Payable transactions using an ERP system; NetSuite experience is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment and processing intercompany transactions is considered an asset.
- Inventory-related accounting experience is an asset.
- Strong reconciliation skills, including supplier, bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
