Teck’s Trail Operations is actively hiring Instrumentation Mechanics to join one of the world’s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. We’re also building a talent pool for future opportunities as our operations continue to expand.

This role is based in Trail, BC — a welcoming community in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Outdoor adventure is right outside your door: whether it’s biking and skiing or the more laid-back pace of fishing and hiking, there’s something for everyone.
You’ll be part of a close-knit crew in a town where it’s easy to build a life outside of work.
Please note: This position requires you to live within 100 km of Trail. Relocation support is available for those moving to the area, but there is no camp or company housing.
Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair plant instrumentation and control systems
Troubleshoot equipment and control issues in a busy industrial environment
Work hands-on with sensors, transmitters, valves, and final control elements
Team up with other trades in a supportive, safety-first work culture
Promote and follow Teck’s safety standards every day
Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as an Instrumentation Mechanic
Industrial experience — especially in smelters or process plants — is an asset
Familiar with Modicon PLCs and Wonderware HMIs
Experience with Foxboro and ABB systems is a bonus
WHMIS certification
Valid driver’s license
