As Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and analyzing project planning activities in connection with gap closure plans for the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS).

Your work will mainly involve planning, coordinating and updating schedules, analyzing and revising activity sequences, as well as developing various project control performance indicators.

More specifically, you will :

  • Provide support to the Program Director and departments regarding all interfaces and deliverables related to planning, schedules, and progress.
  • Develop, plan, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with approved baseline schedules.
  • Gather and provide project control progress and performance reports.
  • Provide analytical support as needed to support contingency, progress and trend reporting, mitigation of delays and risks to the project schedule.
  • Adhere to the project control department’s scheduling processes and procedures.
  • Review any potential project change requests related to deliverables and deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Have intermediate level experience with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Know and apply planning and progress techniques and methods as contained in the AACE and PMI (PMBok) standard practices.
  • University or college degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering or naval architecture.
  • Minimum two years of experience in project control (planning / scheduling).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Earned Value Measurement (EVM) in project management (CPI, SPI, EAC, etc.).
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate with different departments in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Successful completion of the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government’s Contract Security Program.
