Our Service Manager leads the daily operations of our service department: building a positive, high-performing team, and making sure every job is priced right, staffed right, and done right. This is a role for a leader who comes from the industry - someone our technicians can bring a technical problem to and walk away smarter. You will be measured on KPIs and financial performance, but just as much on how far you raise the technical knowledge and performance of the team around you. We don't expect you to know everything, and we will train you on our systems and processes.5+ years of formal management or leadership experience in a service-based operation.A passion for teaching and mentoring - proven experience raising the technical ability of the people around you, not just managing them.P&L experience and a working knowledge of service department financials.Proven leadership skills: hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating a team.Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - with direct experience working with customers and solving problems.Ability to make sound decisions on problems involving varied levels of complexity, ambiguity, and risk.Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP platforms (BuildOps an advantage) plus accounting software such as QuickBooks - we will train the right candidate on our systems.A continuous improvement mindset and comfort with modern technology.Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.Who succeeds here:Technical skill and leadership experience get you in the door.
