The new AHS Rural Health Sustainability team needs a bright, committed and dynamic Senior Consultant to spark innovation, create solutions and transform rural health. With a solid knowledge of rural health challenges and opportunities, you will manage projects and initiatives, write briefings and lead change. Description:
The Senior Consultant, AHS Rural Health Sustainability, is accountable for supporting high-quality, accessible, and sustainable patient- and family-centered care within a complex and fast-paced perioperative environment. Directed by the AHS Associate Chief Medical Officer, Rural Health Sustainability and reporting to the Executive Director, AHS Medical Affairs Operations, this role will support Virtual Emergency Physician (VEP) and other service continuity programs across the organization. Key responsibilities include project management and implementation of key initiatives, writing briefing to secure support and/or funding, evaluation of outcomes. Success in this position is achieved through collaboration, innovation, accountability, and a commitment to advancing the vision and strategic priorities of Alberta Health Services.
Required Qualifications:Understanding or Rural Health Care issues and opportunities Project or program management skills & knowledge. Practical experience in strategy, policy development, leadership, change management and risk management. Demonstrated systematic problem solving skill. Demonstrated data analytics skills. Effective communication & facilitation skills with strong organizational skills Client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services. In particular, the ability to write clearly and succinctly about complex issues and options. Demonstrated application of business planning, business modeling concepts, and program and project management theories, principles and practices. Strategic thinking, taking into account long-term goals assessing options and implications. Ability to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issues.
Master's degree in Health Administration, Leadership, or a related field. Change Management Certification (Prosci or equivalent)
