BBA’s Vancouver office iscurrently seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer to join a Canadian-wide team that
offers high-quality expertise and consulting services. As a senior engineer, the
ideal candidate will support the growth of the local team by leading projects
in the Advanced Fuels and Chemicals (AFC) sector as well as build and
strengthen client relationships. This person will also play a key role in the
local team development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

- Participate in the development and scale-up of fresh processes in the Advanced Fuels and Chemical sectors.
- Work on projects collaboratively with our national and international teams, contributing to one bottom-line
- Support the growth in Western Canada by initiating and seizing business development opportunities, leveraging your network to generate proposals, conducting presentations for new clients / projects, and building and fostering relationships by meeting and exceeding expectations through delivering quality work
- Lead and support the AFC process team in executing projects in various industry sectors, while managing mono- and multidisciplinary projects of $10k to $500k value.
- Lead and support the AFC process team in executing projects in various industry sectors : organize, prepare, and review process engineering deliverables, such as mass energy balances using simulation software; develop process flow diagrams (PDF, piping, and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and technical specifications for process equipment, and technical and economic studies
Participate
in risk assessment studies (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, What-if)

and job requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering3+ years in consulting firm.8+ years of relevant experience in project execution in the advanced fuels and chemicals, oil and gas or chemicals industry.Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principalsP. Eng designation in British-Columbia or eligibility to register with EGBCProficient with Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS process simulation softwareProficient with Fathom or other simulation software for hydraulic calculationsExcellent written and spoken communicationAsset : Bilingual (English and French)An
