As a valued team member, the Instructor - Clinical Electronic Documentation will work collaboratively with the Seniors Health Education Team and Zone CCHSS Team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the educational and clinical developmental needs of the Seniors Health staff from an electronic documentation perspective. This role will focus on education delivery of the electronic documentation platforms (interRAI LTC; interRAI HC & Connect Care) for Seniors Health, South Zone staff (Home Care, LTC, Access Center, Transition Team and Palliative Care). The Instructor - Clinical Electronic Documentation will also work closely with Seniors Health staff in providing guidance, mentorship, and advisement in aligning the electronic documentation education delivery with client centered best practice to meet the needs of the population we serve. This position will be instrumental in the development of electronic documentation education materials to support Seniors Health Staff and assist with just in time electronic education needs. The Instructor - Clinical Electronic Documentation will influence the quality of care delivered to clients in Seniors Health through education, support and enhancement of skills and knowledge of the Seniors Health staff with thorough and effective electronic documentation. As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Required Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications : Preferred Qualifications :
Preference given to candidates who are interRAI HC & interRAI LTC Instructor certified. 1-3 years' experience as instructor in a similar role strongly preferred. Excellent computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.
Additional educational, advanced skills, and clinical preparation across the Seniors Health spectrum (Home Care, Long Term Care, Transition Services, Access Center, Palliative Care and Specialty Geriatric Areas) strongly preferred.
