Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced Private Chef for a residence in Vancouver. The successful applicant will be required to prepare lunch, and dinner for the family. The typical work hours are 10am-6pm, Monday to Friday. Applicants should be flexible with their schedules and be available for some weekends and holidays with notice. This is a full-time, live-out position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily cooking required; preparing Lunch and dinner, providing healthy creative delicious meals, snacks, and the occasional breakfast the night before
  

• Knowledge of different dietary needs ie, Diabetic friendly meals
  

• Grocery shopping, knowledge of procuring fine, fresh ingredients
  

• Menu planning, track and keep records of menus to avoid repetition of meals
  

• Organizing food supply and kitchen inventory; tracking expenses for kitchen inventory
  

• Maintain a clean kitchen and workspace daily
  

Applicant Qualities:

• Excellent English communication skills and professional personal presentation, to courteously and professionally interact with principals, guests and staff
  

• Red Seal Certified Chefs are encouraged to apply
  

• Must maintain privacy and confidentiality always, exercising diplomacy, discretion and respecting appropriate boundaries
  

• A valid, clean driver’s license is an asset
  

• A degree or diploma from an accredited culinary institution is an asset
  

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
