Job descriptionType of materials : Aluminum alloys, Stainless steel, Steel, iron, and heavy metals Welding techniques : Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) Equipment and machinery experience : Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine Area of specialization : Custom fabrication Physically demanding, Repetitive tasks Standing for extended periods, Handling heavy loads Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility, Organized, Team player Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents of Canada Other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit

Location : Stratford, ON
Salary : $25.19 hourly
Hours : 30 to 40 hours per Week
Employment : Permanent, Full time
Start Date : Starts as soon as possible
Overview
Education : Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience : 1 to less than 7 months
Responsibilities
- Interpret welding process specifications
- Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
- Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications
- Operate metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- Determine weldability of materials
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment
